A Clinical Psychologist (Maine PS2520) and Applied Gerontologist with specialized training and experience in cognitive aging, neuropsychological evaluation, functional wellness in the home and community, assistive technologies for aging in place, and navigating major life transitions (e.g., long-term care, driving retirement).
Dr. Meuser earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri (1997), is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America (since 2011), and was the Founding Director of the University of New England Center for Excellence in Aging & Health, a university-wide "center without walls" specializing in intergenerational engagement and applied research for healthful aging (at UNE 2018-2024, retired from this role).
Now self-employed, he also volunteers his time and expertise as a Trustee for The Park Danforth, a retirement community in Portland, ME, and as a Commissioner for Community Service with Volunteer Maine. He resides in Portland with his wife, Christy, and their three rescue dogs.
